Funeral of Thai singer who passed away at the age of 20

Gigi Supitcha's funeral took place on the evening of April 20 in Ayutthaya (Thailand). The singer's parents are still grieving the loss of their child.

On April 22, Thairath posted photos inside the funeral venue of Gigi Supitcha. The sudden passing of the female idol shocked her family, friends and colleagues.

A series of white and pink bouquets appeared at the funeral. According to the family, this was Gigi Supitcha's favorite color when she was alive. On the second night of the funeral, many artists in Thai showbiz came to remember and say goodbye to Gigi.

According to media reports, Gigi Supitcha's relatives still cannot accept the death of their daughter. The actress's father kept shedding tears at the funeral, while Gigi Supitcha's mother completely collapsed. Both have been up many nights since the day their daughter's tragedy happened.

Gigi Supitcha and her ex-boyfriend Nat Phumphat Chaiwanichaya were found dead in her home on April 19. Police found a gun and two shell casings at the scene. Preliminary autopsies showed that both victims had gunshot wounds to the head.

According to the testimony of Gigi Supitcha's family and friends, before the incident, the singer and her ex-boyfriend had broken up amicably. Nat Phumphat Chaiwanichaya also threatened Gigi Supitcha with a gun, demanding that she come back.

Therefore, Thai police initially determined that the cause of the tragic murder was most likely a love conflict. In a fit of anger, the man shot his girlfriend and then committed suicide. According to Mr. Damrongsak Kittiprapphat, traces of gunpowder were found on the man's body's hand.

Through security CCTV footage collected, authorities said the last image of Gigi Supitcha was of her and her ex-boyfriend entering her apartment in the early morning of April 18.

On the Bangkok Post , Gigi Supitcha's father said he had filed a lawsuit, demanding that Nat Phumphat Chaiwanichaya's family take responsibility for his daughter's death. After the incident, the male victim's parents also called to apologize and promised appropriate compensation.

Gigi Supitcha was born in 2003 and is a member of the Thai band Kisskazz. Kisskazz released their debut single Jai Man Miss in February 2022. Gigi Supitcha has more than 200,000 followers on social media.
