Motivate cooperatives to join the Cooperative Alliance

In the first 8 months of 2025, the province established 23 new cooperatives. Up to now, the province has 881 cooperatives, People's Credit Funds and 2 Cooperative Unions with a total of more than 56,900 members.

Also in the past 8 months, Dong Nai Cooperative Development Fund has disbursed 27 loan applications to cooperatives with an amount of 27.3 billion VND. The total outstanding loan balance by the end of August 2025 reached over 105.4 billion VND.

Many cooperatives participate in the value chain, have VietGAP, GlobalGAP, OCOP products, and expand links to agricultural product consumption. Some cooperatives are pioneers in applying digital technology in management and e-commerce.

Dong Nai Cooperative Alliance recommends that the Provincial People's Committee consider and approve the Project on Propaganda to raise awareness of collective economy and cooperatives in Dong Nai province in the period of 2026-2030; promptly complete the Steering Committee for innovation in collective economy and cooperative development at the provincial level and guide the commune level to complete this Steering Committee to promptly coordinate with relevant units in supporting the development of collective economy and cooperatives; continue to allocate budget for the Provincial Cooperative Alliance in 2026; consider and approve the Project on merging the Binh Phuoc Provincial Cooperative Support Fund into the Dong Nai Provincial Cooperative Development Support Fund for early implementation and timely support for cooperatives...

Speaking at the meeting, Vice Chairman of Dong Nai Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Kim Long emphasized: The Cooperative Union plays an important role in developing the collective economy. During its operation, Dong Nai Cooperative Union has encountered many difficulties but has made efforts to promote its role and make an impression in carrying out its tasks.

In the coming time, the Provincial Cooperative Union must continue to promote its role in managing and developing the collective economy; it is necessary to build specific goals and action programs to be determined to implement. In particular, it is necessary to promote the role of the union in supporting cooperatives in linking markets and product consumption; creating conditions for cooperatives, especially agricultural cooperatives, in registering product labels, building growing areas, implementing the OCOP program... creating motivation to attract cooperatives to participate in the Cooperative Union.

Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Kim Long assigned relevant departments, branches and units to promptly resolve the recommendations of the Dong Nai Cooperative Union.
