Social insurance guides procedures for changing the form and place of receiving pension and benefits

In Decision No. 863/QD-BNV effective from July 1, 2025, the Ministry of Home Affairs clearly stipulates the process and procedures for implementing this content as follows:

Implementation sequence

Step 1: People who are receiving monthly pensions and social insurance benefits and wish to change the form of receipt (cash or via bank account) or change the place of receipt due to changing residence within the country must send a written document to the social insurance agency where the payment is being made.

Step 2: Within 05 working days from the date of receipt of the document, the Social Insurance agency is responsible for resolving the matter. In case of non-resolution, a written response must be provided stating the reasons.

How to do it

You can choose one of three forms of application submission: Submit directly at the Social Security agency; Submit online via the Public Service Portal; Send via public postal service.
