Tuyen Quang Newspaper, Radio and Television won the C prize in the 2025 Press and Propaganda Award on Energy Saving and Efficiency

On the afternoon of November 14, in Hanoi, the Ministry of Industry and Trade coordinated with the Vietnam Journalists Association to organize the 2025 Press and Propaganda Award Ceremony on Energy Saving and Efficient Use.

Attending the award ceremony were comrades: Nguyen Hoang Long, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade; Tran Trong Dung, Vice President of Vietnam Journalists Association .

Comrade Mai Duc Thong, member of the Provincial Party Committee, Editor-in-Chief of Tuyen Quang Newspaper, Radio and Television, Chairman of the Provincial Journalists Association attended the program.

At the award ceremony, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Nguyen Hoang Long emphasized that 2025 marks an important step forward for Vietnam's energy sector when Law No. 77/2025/QH15 was passed by the National Assembly, adding regulations to promote the application of digital technology, renewable energy, circular economic models and green transformation, contributing to the realization of sustainable development goals.

According to Deputy Minister Nguyen Hoang Long, in the context of Vietnam moving towards a commitment to net zero emissions by 2050, saving and using energy efficiently becomes a key, low-cost but highly effective solution in reducing greenhouse gas emissions, improving competitiveness and ensuring national energy security. In this process, the press plays an important role, acting as a bridge between policy and life, while inspiring the community to act together for a greener future.

The Press Award on Energy Saving and Efficiency has been held continuously since 2007 and this year is the 14th season. In 2025, the Organizing Committee received 477 entries, diverse in press types including print, electronic, radio, television and video clips. The works vividly reflect the topics of energy saving in production, business, transportation, construction and daily life, at the same time demonstrating the creativity, diligence and dedication of journalists.

The award is organized by the Ministry of Industry and Trade in coordination with the Vietnam Journalists Association, within the framework of the National Program on Energy Saving and Efficiency for the 2019-2030 period approved by the Prime Minister. This year's award attracted 477 entries from central and local press agencies.

Through a serious and objective judging process, the Judging Council selected 40 best works to award prizes, including 1 special prize, 4 A prizes, 10 B prizes, 10 C prizes, 15 Encouragement prizes for the following categories: Print newspaper, electronic newspaper, radio, television and video clip.

Among them, the work "Saving electricity becomes a cultural feature in the highlands of Tuyen Quang" by the group of authors Ly Thu and Bich Ngoc of Tuyen Quang Newspaper, Radio and Television was honored to be awarded the C prize.

Congratulating the authors and press agencies that won the award, Vice President of the Vietnam Journalists Association Tran Trong Dung affirmed: “Today’s results are a worthy recognition of the innovative and creative efforts of the journalism team. The award will continue to be an important driving force, contributing to strongly spreading the spirit of energy saving – a sustainable value for the future development of the country.”
