Improve the quality of vocational training, promote employment in the province

According to the report of the Department of Home Affairs, the Department of Education and Training and other units, in recent times, vocational education enrollment in the province has been basically maintained stable, contributing to meeting the needs of vocational training, training and human resource development for the locality. Vocational education institutions have proactively innovated enrollment forms, diversified occupations, and closely followed the labor needs of the market.

The work of student streaming in the recent period has had many positive changes, helping to diversify the direction after graduation and increase the rate of students studying vocational education programs. In the 2025-2026 school year, vocational training institutions in the province enrolled over 6,000 students in many different professions.

Along with that, the implementation of policies to support job creation has been carried out in accordance with regulations, job counseling and vocational training for workers has been organized regularly with many innovations and achieved many important results. In the first 10 months of 2025, the whole Tuyen Quang province has created jobs for over 39,600 workers, reaching over 94% of the yearly plan, many workers have had stable jobs, contributing to increasing income and reducing poverty in the area.

However, vocational training, connecting labor supply and demand, and job creation in the province still face difficulties and limitations such as: The rate of students after junior high school entering vocational colleges is still low, the rate of students not continuing their studies or not participating in vocational training is still high; the scale of enrollment has decreased, affecting the total supply of technical labor.

The low graduation rate at the intermediate level (53.9%) shows that there are still a number of students who drop out of school, change careers or do not complete the program. The connection between vocational training institutions and businesses is uneven, only concentrated in a few units; the work of forecasting human resource needs and training orientation according to key local occupations is still limited...

Leaders of the Department of Education and Training reported on the current situation and orientation of student streaming, enrollment, training and job placement after training in the province.

Delegates discussed difficulties and problems as well as proposed solutions to improve the effectiveness of vocational training, career counseling and job introduction in the province in the coming time.

Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Vuong Ngoc Ha highly appreciated the initiative and efforts of departments, branches and units in performing assigned tasks. At the same time, he emphasized that the 1st Provincial Party Congress identified human resource development, especially high-quality human resources, as one of the extremely important tasks to meet the development requirements of the province.

He suggested that departments, branches and units strengthen coordination to review the actual number of people who need to learn a trade or find a job in order to organize appropriate career counseling and guidance. It is necessary to strengthen career guidance for high school students, and vocational training institutions need to innovate their work and recruitment methods to create the most favorable conditions for learners, effectively connecting supply and demand between businesses and workers.

Along with that, continue to promote links with businesses, production facilities, industrial parks inside and outside the province to deploy training according to orders, ensuring output for learners; focus on job creation after training, establish a system to monitor and keep statistics on jobs of learners after graduation to have a basis for adjusting the scale and structure of appropriate occupations; continue to innovate teaching methods in the direction of taking learners as the center, focusing on practical skills, soft skills, career adaptability to meet the requirements of employers, increase the rate of employment after training; promote the work of sending workers to work abroad under contracts... Thereby contributing to job creation, increasing income, reducing poverty quickly and sustainably in the province.
