On the evening of November 14, the Department of E-commerce and Digital Economy ( Ministry of Industry and Trade ) officially launched the E-commerce Week and Vietnam Online Shopping Day - Online Friday 2025, the biggest online shopping festival of the year with many promotional programs up to 100%.
Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Phan Thi Thang said one of the biggest obstacles for consumers when shopping online is concern about product quality.
“In addition, the problem of poor quality goods, counterfeit goods, and goods that infringe intellectual property rights is also a prominent reality in both e-commerce and traditional commerce,” she said.
According to Ms. Thang, one of the highlights of this year's program is the "safe - secure - happy" mega livestream series. For the first time, the organizers directly conducted a large-scale mega live session, providing detailed instructions to consumers on how to distinguish genuine and fake goods, along with smart and safe shopping skills in the digital environment.

Online Friday 2025 focuses on four main contents: Enhancing e-commerce experience; strengthening consumer confidence; supporting businesses in digital transformation; and increasing incentives and discount codes for buyers.
From the perspective of e-commerce businesses participating in the program, Mr. Phan Manh Ha, Director of External Relations of Shopee Vietnam, said that this platform cooperates with many brands, using the Shopee Mall and Shopee Premium booth systems to accompany the event.
“These stores are all committed to the origin and return policy. Therefore, the platform allocates a budget for the program with a series of incentives and livestream activities. In addition, the platform also enhances the identification of violating products, coordinates with brands and authorities to handle violating stores, and protects consumer rights,” said Mr. Ha.
Meanwhile, Mr. Nguyen Lam Thanh, representative of TikTok Vietnam, said that TikTok Shop aims to bring content about E-Commerce Week to about 1 billion views, thereby expecting to promote a large number of orders during the event.
The National E-commerce Week 2025 will take place from November 13 to 17, organized by the Ministry of Industry and Trade. During this time, participating businesses are allowed to apply discounts and promotions of up to 100% of the value of goods and services.
