At the meeting, a representative of Adobe Corporation said that in recent times, Adobe has actively cooperated with e-commerce platforms such as Lazada, Shopee, Tiki... to limit software copyright infringement. However, preventing copyright infringement in cyberspace still faces many difficulties, requiring closer coordination between management agencies and businesses.
Adobe is currently cooperating with many countries such as Thailand, Singapore... in providing professional content creation, image and video editing software, focusing on security and intellectual property rights.
In Vietnam, although it does not have a representative office, Adobe Corporation is working closely with authorized distributors and agents in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City to deploy the provision of copyrighted software, including product packages designed specifically for state agencies.
Adobe Corporation wishes to expand cooperation with ministries, sectors and organizations in Vietnam through consulting activities, supporting the safe use of software, and organizing seminars to raise awareness about digital copyright and network security.
A representative of Adobe Corporation affirmed that not using copyrighted software not only violates the law but also affects the development of the economy .
Speaking at the meeting, Director Tran Hoang highly appreciated the active cooperation of Adobe Group in recent times. He emphasized that in the cultural field, especially in the digital environment, Adobe software is widely used to serve content creation. Promoting cooperation to provide copyrighted software not only facilitates creative activities but also contributes to ensuring network safety and security.
Director Tran Hoang affirmed that the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism always directs its affiliated units to build a legal corridor to protect copyright in accordance with domestic laws and international conventions to which Vietnam is a member. Effective enforcement of intellectual property laws will contribute to nurturing and developing the creative team, ensuring harmonious benefits for all parties involved.
To raise awareness of copyright among the content creation community, businesses and users, the Copyright Office regularly organizes seminars, especially promoting international cooperation in the field of digital copyright. The Ministry also strengthens coordination between police forces, market management, industry and trade and relevant agencies to ensure effective law enforcement.
The Copyright Office requests that Adobe Corporation continue to share information and provide technical support to ensure that users in Vietnam can access genuine software products distributed by Adobe Corporation.
The Department expressed its wish that Adobe research a pricing policy suitable for a developing market like Vietnam. In addition, the representative of the Copyright Office suggested that Adobe Corporation consider the possibility of establishing a representative office in Vietnam to improve the effectiveness of supporting the domestic software user community.
