H&M Group and Nordic businesses seek suppliers in Vietnam

H&M Group and other Nordic businesses are increasingly looking for supply sources from Vietnamese companies. This opens up opportunities and raises the position of Vietnam's export industry in the international market.

More opportunities to expand the market

According to information from the Vietnam Trade Office in Sweden, this year, the Nordic business delegation, including big names in the fields of retail, consumption, logistics and sustainable production, will join the trade office in many conferences and exhibitions to connect with Vietnamese businesses and expand the supply chain of goods. In the near future, the Nordic business delegation and the world's largest fashion group H&M will come to Vietnam to find sources of supply of goods, opening up many cooperation opportunities for Vietnamese businesses in the fields of fashion, textiles and sustainable supply chains.

In 2023 and 2024, the Vietnam Trade Office in Sweden organized delegations of Nordic businesses with the participation of brands such as IKEA, Port of Gothenburg, F&H, Scanesia... to attend Viet Nam International Sourcing to seek supply sources, conduct field surveys of businesses and have reached cooperation agreements with Vietnamese businesses.

Viet Nam International Sourcing 2025 will be held at the Ho Chi Minh City Exhibition and Convention Center. It is expected that more than 500 exhibiting enterprises and about 300 international purchasing delegations will attend. Key industry groups include: food, beverages, consumer goods, furniture, fashion, raw materials and supporting industries.

Along with the exhibition area, the fair also has many sideline activities such as: seminars, B2B trade connections, survey programs, factory and industrial park tours. The contents focus on export standards to the European market, green transformation, logistics and international branding.

H&M’s participation in this year’s fair is a clear demonstration of the potential of Vietnamese suppliers in meeting the strict standards of the European market. This is an important opportunity for domestic enterprises to access major purchasing channels, strengthen connections to the global value chain and affirm their position in high value-added industries.
