Standing Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Ho Ky Minh highly appreciated Intel Group's suggestions on Da Nang's new approaches in developing artificial intelligence (AI), especially approaching the trend of the 5.0 industrial revolution.

At the same time, agree with Intel Group's proposal to deploy AI training programs at universities in the city and then deploy them to businesses and other areas of social life.

The Group needs to promote and promptly support universities in the city in terms of programs, curriculum, experts for training lecturers as well as training majors on AI that the schools are implementing and other majors (tourism, health care, economics , etc.).

“In February 2024, the Da Nang Center for Research and Training in Microchip Design and Artificial Intelligence (DSAC) and universities in collaboration with Intel Corporation quickly developed a training program for AI lecturers for schools.

At the same time, support curriculum, software, and experts to serve AI training for schools that have AI training programs, especially Duy Tan University and Vietnam - Korea University of Information Technology and Communications.

From there, there will be a basis for implementing AI training programs for schools in the city as well as schools in the Central Highlands region," Permanent Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Ho Ky Minh suggested.

Along with that, training programs need to be close to the labor market so that students can get jobs, especially at leading technology companies, so there needs to be advice from the world's leading corporations such as Intel, Synopsys... and leading technology corporations in Vietnam such as Viettel, VNPT, FPT ... on AI training courses and programs.

In addition, the city is focusing on building e-government, smart city and has a need to apply AI in areas such as education, healthcare, transportation... so it needs advice from experts and training programs for officials and specialists of departments, branches, sectors and localities on AI.

“The city is planning to establish a high-performance computing center located in Software Park No. 2, including the deployment of applications and training programs on AI. Therefore, the city really hopes that Intel Corporation will support and cooperate with the city to effectively deploy this center.

When Software Park No. 2 comes into operation, the city also hopes that the world's leading corporations in microchips, semiconductors and AI such as Intel, Synopsys... can place their logos and operate here," Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Ho Ky Minh suggested.
