
The Department of Dyke Management and Natural Disaster Prevention and Control said that as of 5 p.m. on October 15, floods on rivers continued to recede; the water level of Ca Lo River at Manh Tan was 5.72 m, below alert level I; Thuong River at Phu Lang Thuong was 4.33 m, 0.03 m above alert level I.
As of the evening of October 15, 1,023 houses were still flooded in the northern provinces and cities ( Hanoi 521, Bac Ninh 502); 84 dike incidents were recorded; 6,413 customers had not had their power restored (Thai Nguyen 2,512, Bac Ninh 3,427, Lang Son 444, Cao Bang 30).

International assistance continues to be deployed. On the evening of October 14, the Department of Dyke Management and Natural Disaster Prevention and Control received a shipment of aid worth about 322,000 USD from the Australian Government, including 756 personal hygiene kits, 320 kitchenware sets, 300 blankets and 756 home repair kits, which was handed over to Bac Ninh province on October 15. On the same day, the AHA Center (ASEAN) also sent the first shipment of aid, including 860 household kits, 1,080 hygiene kits and 1,612 kitchenware sets. In addition, the Department of Crop Production and Plant Protection organized a team to survey and assess the damage caused by storm No. 11 and directed the restoration of winter crop production in Thai Nguyen and Bac Ninh provinces. Localities continue to review and summarize the situation of overcoming consequences, restoring agricultural production and stabilizing people's lives.
