( Bqp.vn ) – On the afternoon of July 8, the USS Blue Ridge of the US Navy and the Waesche of the US Coast Guard docked at Cam Ranh international port, beginning a visit to Khanh Hoa province (from July 8 to 12).

The welcoming ceremony was attended by representatives of the Navy Region 4, the Coast Guard Region 3, representatives of the Khanh Hoa Provincial Department of Foreign Affairs and a number of Vietnamese authorities. On the US side, there were the US Ambassador, US Defense Attaché and a number of officials from the US Embassy in Vietnam.

During the visit to Khanh Hoa province, the Commander of the 7th Fleet of the US Indo- Pacific Command and the ship's command team will pay courtesy calls to the leaders of Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee and the Navy.
Groups of officers and sailors will participate in a number of professional exchange activities with functional units of the Ministry of National Defense . The delegation will also participate in community activities such as: English exchange, performing arts, visiting facilities for children and the disadvantaged; and participating in a number of sports exchange activities with officers and soldiers of Naval Region 4 and Coast Guard Region 3.
The visit contributes to maintaining the friendship and comprehensive strategic partnership for peace, cooperation and sustainable development between Vietnam and the United States.
