Exciting playgrounds
The final round of the Master English – Master your life competition held at Nha Trang University recently left many good impressions on the contestants and the audience. 100 excellent contestants were selected from 1,600 people in the preliminary round (online) and divided into 6 groups: Students, women, traders, cyclo drivers, tourism and service staff, and the community. Through 3 rounds of competition including warm-up, overcoming obstacles, and finishing, the contestants demonstrated their quick reflexes, social knowledge, and English proficiency. The prize for 20 excellent contestants was a trip to Thailand, an opportunity to practice English in an international environment.

In parallel, other competitions are also held continuously, widely spread on the program's fanpage, website, Tiktok channel, and Youtube. The English Arena competition impresses with its unique competition format such as: word arrangement, knowledge competition, eloquence on current issues... From the online preliminary round to the live final round, the competition creates a vibrant competitive space, where contestants can demonstrate their foreign language skills, presentation skills, acumen, and teamwork spirit.

The Golden Bell Contest takes place in all districts, towns and cities, inspired by the TV show of the same name, and is also a playground that is enthusiastically welcomed by contestants. This is not only an opportunity for contestants to compete in questions about culture, history, society... but also attracts fans to follow and cheer enthusiastically, thereby stirring up the increasingly exciting English learning movement.

Not focusing on knowledge, the English singing and rapping contest Sing to shine is an interesting artistic playground, attracting people of all ages and professions to participate. Here, contestants not only show their musical talent but also have the opportunity to practice their confidence, exchange and learn more about English. This is also a different approach to learning a foreign language, helping people to be more inspired through music, performance style and individual creativity.
Unlike the above competitions, the 4.0 Tourism Ambassador contest has a different color, with the requirement to produce short videos in English to introduce the culture, cuisine, landscapes, and people of Khanh Hoa. Each clip shared on social networks has a close, emotional perspective, vividly introducing many rich topics. From there, everyone, whether a student, a cadre, a civil servant, a trader, or a housewife... can become a "media ambassador" to spread the beauty of Khanh Hoa.
Friendly and inspiring English learning environment
According to statistics from the Khanh Hoa People Speaking English Project Management Board, by the end of June 2025, the program had organized more than 100 events and English competitions with more than 120,000 participants. This is an impressive number, showing the enthusiasm and attraction of the program. The common point of the competitions is that English is no longer a dry subject but a friendly, fun and inspiring learning environment. Each competition has a different color, creating vivid, engaging and creative experiences for participants, helping them overcome their self-consciousness and shyness to confidently communicate, connect, express themselves, inspire each other to learn and be ready to integrate.

As one of the 20 excellent contestants in the national final round of the Master English – Master your life contest, Nguyen Minh Chau, a student at Vinh Hai 2 Primary School (Nha Trang City) shared: “Knowing a foreign language, especially English, gives me many advantages. I can communicate with foreigners easily, read many books, documents, and videos in English, and expand my knowledge. In addition to the Master English – Master your life contest, I also participated in the Golden Bell contest, a tourism ambassador's activity program, which helped me learn a lot of useful knowledge. I am also very happy because through it I can connect with many people and hope to spread the spirit of learning and practicing English to many others.”
Highly appreciating the effectiveness of the Khanh Hoa People Speaking English Program, Mr. Le Duy Thang - tour guide, champion of the Sing to shine contest and runner-up of the English Arena contest recently held for people in Van Ninh district expressed: “The format of the contests within the framework of the People Speaking English Program is attractive, the questions are close to reality, closely related to the life and situation of the locality. I am also very surprised and impressed by the English proficiency of the contestants from many different professions such as students, traders, cyclo drivers, etc. I think that the contests not only create a buzz in the community but also contribute to changing the thinking and working style of Khanh Hoa people towards integration, becoming global citizens. Hopefully there will be more similar playgrounds for everyone to have the opportunity to learn and develop”.

According to the Management Board of the Khanh Hoa People Speaking English Project, in the coming time, the program will continue to innovate, expand its scale, organize more playgrounds and attractive competitions for different target groups. At the same time, promote multi-platform communication to attract more and more participation of people across the province.
