Suez Canal blocked by stranded ship

A ship has run aground in the Suez Canal in Egypt, leaving at least four other ships behind.

The British news agency Reters quoted a source from the shipping company Leth Agencies on May 25 as saying that tugboats were mobilized to rescue the stranded ship Xin Hai Tong 23. Sharing on Twitter, Leth Agencies said the ship Xin Hai Tong 23 ran aground in the early morning of the same day, causing some ships scheduled to pass through the strait on the morning of May 25 to be stuck behind. Meanwhile, data from the shipping tracking network Marine Traffic and Refinitiv showed that the Hong Kong-flagged ship lost control at the southern tip of the canal.
