Speaking at the ceremony, Vice Chairman of Tay Ninh Provincial People's Committee Pham Tan Hoa reviewed the glorious historical tradition of the national relic "The place where the first Provincial Party Committee of Cho Lon province was established, November 1930 (Long Hiep House)".
Accordingly, in November 1930, the Regional Party Committee directed the establishment of Cho Lon Provincial Party Committee, appointed comrade Le Quang Sung as a Regional Party Committee member, and convened a conference to establish the first Provincial Party Committee of Cho Lon province. The conference was held secretly at the house of Mr. Nguyen Tan Tao (Tao Commune), Long Hiep village, Long Hung Ha commune, Trung Quan district, Cho Lon province (now My Yen commune, Tay Ninh province).
Attending the conference at that time were comrades: Ung Van Khiem, Secretary of the Regional Party Committee; Nguyen Xuan Luyen, member of the Regional Party Committee; Le Quang Sung, member of the Regional Party Committee and core party members.
The Cho Lon Provincial Party Executive Committee was established with 5 comrades; comrade Le Quang Sung was assigned as Secretary; comrade Nguyen Thi Nho, Deputy Secretary; Provincial Party Committee members included comrades: Nguyen Van Tuc; Pham Van Khuong; Nguyen Van Tot; later, 2 comrades Phan Van Hao and Nguyen Van Tuoi were added.
The establishment of the first Provincial Party Committee of Cho Lon province was an important historical event, a turning point at that time; marking the unification of the Party organization in the whole province; affirming the leadership role of the Party in the revolutionary struggle.
This is one of the provinces that established the Provincial Party Committee the earliest in the South right after the Communist Party of Vietnam was born; affirming the position and role of the Cho Lon Provincial Party Committee in the process of leading the people to fight against invasion, contributing with the people of the whole country to gain independence and freedom for the nation.
With the above important and typical historical contents and values, "The location of the establishment of the first Provincial Party Committee of Cho Lon province, November 1930 (Long Hiep House)" was ranked as a national monument by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism on May 15, 2025.
This is an important legal basis for Tay Ninh to carry out the work of preserving, embellishing and promoting the value of relics.
Implementing the Resolution of the 11th Central Executive Committee on "Building and developing Vietnamese culture and people to meet the requirements of sustainable national development", in recent times, Tay Ninh province has promoted the conservation and promotion of cultural heritage values more and more effectively.
For the relic "The site of the establishment of the first Provincial Party Committee of Cho Lon province, November 1930", funds have been invested to restore Long Hiep House according to the architectural style and interior decoration of the original house (original relic). In addition, My Yen commune has also planned a land area of 3,400 m2 to carry out the project of restoring and embellishing the relic.
At the same time, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism coordinated with My Yen commune and relevant agencies and units to collect documents and artifacts, and develop an outline for displaying relics to educate about traditions and serve sightseeing and tourism.
The Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Tay Ninh province emphasized: The ceremony to announce the decision and receive the certificate of ranking the national relic "The place where the first Provincial Party Committee of Cho Lon province was established, November 1930 (Long Hiep House)" is an opportunity to review the good traditions and honor the contributions of generations of ancestors who left priceless cultural heritages for today's and future generations.
This place is a precious heritage of the nation, which needs to be preserved and promoted in the right direction so that these values become a great spiritual driving force contributing to local socio-economic development.
