On December 1, the Ministry of Science and Technology announced: Techfest Vietnam 2025 will take place from December 12-14 at Hoan Kiem Lake walking street, Hanoi.
The event took place in the context of the whole country summarizing one year of implementing Resolution 57-NQ/TW on scientific and technological breakthroughs, innovation and national digital transformation, associated with the process of building the National Strategy for Creative Startups with the spirit of "creative startups are the cause of all people", based on the foundation of technology, innovation and digital transformation.
The program is organized by the Ministry of Science and Technology in coordination with the Hanoi People's Committee, including the Opening Ceremony, the National Policy Forum, a series of seminars, international investment connection talks, an exhibition of innovative products and technology experience activities. Techfest 2025 is expected to welcome 60,000 visitors in person and online, along with 1,200 investment funds, incubators, and 1,700 domestic and foreign startups.
According to Mr. Pham Hong Quat, Director of the Department of Startups and Technology Enterprises, this is the 11th time Techfest Vietnam has been held. Since 2015, the event has been held at Hanoi National University, the following editions have been held in localities. However, Techfest 2025 will be held in the capital Hanoi.
The event brings together startups, investment funds, incubators, institutes and schools, the youth, women, senior entrepreneurs and international experts. Techfest 2025 introduces many new features: open space, technology, participants and connection models, along with the digitization of the image of Saint Giong to inspire the "Vietnamese Unicorn" generation.
Along with that, the opening ceremony of Techfest will take place on December 13, expected to be attended by Party and State leaders. Here, many policies to promote science and technology, innovation and digital transformation will be announced. The top 10 venture capital deals in 2025 and the top 10 typical localities building startup ecosystems will also be honored at the event.
The National Policy Forum on Investment for Innovative Startups took place on the same day, where management agencies, international experts, investment funds and businesses discussed Vietnam's opportunities and challenges in venture capital.
