Siamsport reported that the Football Association of Thailand (FAT) has announced the dismissal of national team head coach Masatada Ishii. The reason comes from the team's technical team's assessment that his approach is not in line with the direction of the Football Association of Thailand.

A meeting took place at the federation office on October 21, with the participation of several key figures of Thai football leadership. The meeting discussed a number of issues with coach Masatada Ishii before officially announcing the termination of the contract with the Japanese captain.

According to Siam Sport , the main reason for this decision is that coach Ishii's team management style is not consistent with the assessment of the technical team. At the same time, in terms of achievements, since the Japanese strategist took over the team, Thailand has only won 16 out of 30 matches, achieving a winning rate of 53%.

FAT would like to express its gratitude to Masatada Ishii for his dedication and contribution to the development of the Thai national team throughout his career. At the same time, the Football Association of Thailand would like to send him and his team best wishes for future success.

On the other hand, FAT is actively looking for a new head coach for the national team. The FAT technical department will speed up the process of reviewing and selecting suitable personnel before the FIFA Days in November.

During the FIFA training session in November, the Thai team will play a friendly match with Singapore on November 13. Immediately after that, the “war elephants” will face Sri Lanka in the 2027 Asian Cup qualifiers on November 18.
