Thai Nguyen organizes four-team football tournament at 535 billion VND stadium

The Tu Hung - Thai Nguyen 2025 National Football Tournament will take place at the recently completed provincial stadium with a total investment of 535 billion VND, promising to bring an attractive sports playground, while promoting the image of a dynamic, friendly and integrated Thai Nguyen.

According to plan, the Tu Hung - Thai Nguyen Football Tournament, the first national football tournament, will open at 3:00 p.m. on December 21, 2025 at the province's new stadium. Just 2 days after the ceremony, the stadium will be inaugurated and put into use on December 19, 2025.

Leaders of Thai Nguyen province, Vietnam Football Federation and Clubs inspected the football field before the tournament took place.

Participating in the tournament are: Hanoi FC Club, Viettel The Cong Club, PVF People's Police Club and Hoang Anh Gia Lai Club. These are strong clubs with high rankings in the region, promising to bring dramatic and attractive matches. The closing ceremony and award ceremony is expected to take place at 8:00 p.m. on December 25, 2025.

The tournament will take place in a round-robin format, with 2 matches per day. From December 19, the teams will gather in Thai Nguyen and the province will support all expenses for accommodation, travel, security, health care , and living and competition conditions.

This is an important activity in a series of events to celebrate the success of the 1st Thai Nguyen Provincial Party Congress, term 2025 - 2030, towards the 14th National Party Congress and the 81st anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People's Army (December 22, 1944 - December 22, 2025).

Representatives of the Vietnam Football Federation and the clubs highly appreciated the province's thorough preparation. "The stadium meets the standards for organizing a professional tournament, the coordination between the province and professional agencies helps the Four-team Tournament have a good chance of success," the Federation representative shared.

The stadium has a capacity of 22,000 seats , an area of ​​15 hectares, is a key sports facility of the province, equipped with international standard Zeon Zoysia grass , automatic lighting and irrigation systems, meeting the standards for organizing national and international tournaments.

With modern facilities, the stadium is expected to become a venue for major sporting, cultural and tourism events in and outside the province.

Thai Nguyen Stadium is invested and built to international standards.

Sharing with the reporter of Construction Newspaper, Mr. Bui Van Luong, Vice Chairman of Thai Nguyen Provincial People's Committee emphasized: "The province's goal is to ensure the stadium is completed and put into trial operation before November 20 , ready to serve the inauguration ceremony and the tournament. The Four Heroes Football Tournament not only enhances the sports movement, but also promotes the image of Thai Nguyen, attracts tourists and promotes socio-economic development".

Regarding progress, the investor representative, Mr. Vu Quang Dung, Director of the Thai Nguyen Civil and Industrial Construction Investment Project Management Board , said: "The main construction items have been basically completed.

We are currently testing technical systems, checking equipment, testing fire protection, elevators and lighting, single and interlocking technical systems. The entire project is expected to be completed before November 20 , after which we will focus on cleaning and completing the aesthetics.
