Thai Nguyen: Honoring 168 typical and advanced cadres and farmers in the period 2020-2025

On June 20, the Thai Nguyen Farmers' Association held a conference to commend advanced models in the 2020-2025 period and honor outstanding Thai Nguyen farmers for the second time in 2025. Attending the conference were comrade Duong Van Tien, member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee; leaders of a number of relevant departments, branches and units.

The Provincial Farmers' Association honors and rewards outstanding farmers for the second time in 2025.

Over the past 5 years, farmers' associations at all levels in the province have innovated the content and methods of organizing emulation movements, creating a vibrant atmosphere that spreads widely among members. Emulation movements are implemented closely to reality, linked to the Association's core tasks and local development requirements. Thereby, arousing patriotism, the will to rise up and the spirit of solidarity among cadres, members and farmers.

Notably, the movement “Farmers compete in production and business, unite to help each other get rich and reduce poverty sustainably” has been promoted. Associations at all levels have actively coordinated in transferring science and technology, mobilizing farmers to change the structure of crops and livestock to suit the market; supporting members to access loans to expand production.

Currently, the whole province has more than 2,800 households borrowing capital from the Social Policy Bank with a total outstanding debt of over 1,524 billion VND; more than 10,300 households borrowing from the Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development with an amount of over 1,500 billion VND. The Farmers Support Fund is managing over 66 billion VND, lending to more than 1,200 households to carry out 125 projects.

At the same time, the association at all levels also actively participates in social security work, mobilizing cadres and members to contribute to the "For the Poor" Fund, supporting people in natural disaster areas, eliminating temporary houses, supporting working days and production materials for disadvantaged households.

Over the past 5 years, the association at all levels has supported more than 4,300 households with over 16,700 working days, contributing to the elimination of 34 temporary houses, with a total cost of over 10.2 billion VND.

At the Conference, the Organizing Committee honored 168 outstanding collectives and individuals, including: 18 outstanding farmers, 23 collectives and 30 outstanding and outstanding association officials; 37 good farmers in production and business and 60 individuals with the will to overcome difficulties, actively build new rural areas, protect security and order, participate in cultural and social activities...
