Despite some difficulties at the starting point, the Vietnam U19 women's team overcame them and won a resounding victory over the Indonesia U19 women's team in the semi-finals of the 2025 Southeast Asian U19 Women's Championship on the evening of June 16. This resounding victory helped Mr. Okiyama Masahiko's team advance to the final to compete for the championship with the Thailand U19 women's team.
Entering the match, Coach Okiyama Masahiko deployed the optimal lineup to help the U19 women's team of Vietnam dominate the game. In the 53rd minute, Hoang Van curled the ball right in the penalty area, scoring the fourth goal for the home team, and also scoring a double for himself. Vietnam U19 women's team continued to dominate the game after that and created many scoring opportunities but no more goals were scored. In the end, Mr. Okiyama Masahiko's students defeated Indonesia U19 women's team with a score of 4-0.
The opponent of Vietnam U19 women's team in the final match is Thailand U19 women's team. In the previous semi-final match, the defending champion defeated Myanmar U19 women's team with a score of 5-1.
