Veteran Nguyen The Soai, from Tran Phu ward (Ha Giang City), shared: "Every year when April comes, my heart overflows with emotion. Having participated in the fight to liberate the South, April 30, 1975, will forever remain a special day in my memory." Having experienced the war years and witnessed the division of the country into two parts, I truly understand the immense significance of the victory on April 30th. Therefore, I always remind my children and grandchildren about the value of peace , independence, and freedom, so that they may live and work in a way that is worthy of the sacrifices of previous generations.

April holds a sacred meaning, a time to reflect on the glorious history of the nation, reminding us of the responsibility of each individual in building and protecting the Fatherland. In keeping with this spirit, the youth of Ha Giang have implemented many practical activities, notably the traditional talk program at the Bac Me National Historical Relic Site in Yen Cuong commune (Bac Me district). According to the Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union, Hoang The Hanh: "This activity has special significance in 'Telling historical stories - Igniting the flame of tradition' for union members and young people. The moving stories showcased the will, patriotism, indomitable revolutionary spirit, and immense sacrifices of the veterans, heroes, and martyrs in the liberation of the country. Through this, we foster love for our homeland and country in each young person, encouraging them to strive to learn and continue writing the glorious history of the nation…"
The young people, members of the Youth Union, gathered together, attentively listening to the stories and memories of the veterans—sometimes filled with fervent enthusiasm, other times choked with emotion. At that moment, the young people were filled with admiration and deep gratitude for the immense contributions of their ancestors. Following the emotional sharing of the historical witnesses, Chu Khánh Linh, a student from Yên Phú High School (Bắc Mê), expressed: “Today’s generation is very fortunate to be born and raised in peacetime, living in a country where war has receded into the past and the economy is increasingly prosperous. We understand that we need to be conscious, responsible, and strive to study and work hard to contribute to building a richer and more beautiful country.”

“The triumphant celebration fills the nation with joy/ We want to fly high, gazing in awe at the majestic mountains and rivers/ We want to shout with joy, singing the eternal song of Vietnam, our heroic homeland...” The melody of the song “The Nation's Complete Joy” has deeply touched the hearts of generations of Vietnamese people, reminding us of the great victory of the nation, the day North and South were reunited. Looking back at that glorious milestone, today's generation becomes even more aware and responsible, acting together to create the strength to lead the country steadily on the path of integration and development.
