During the joint military-services exercise with live ammunition organized by Military Region 5 for Division 2 and units of the Ministry of National Defense stationed in the area at the end of 2024, the outstanding achievements of B41 gunners in destroying enemy gun emplacements, bunkers, aircraft, and tanks in the assigned area right from the first shots left many people surprised and admired.
Contributing to that result is the "Device for checking the line of sight of the B41 gun's optical sight during the day and at night" researched and manufactured by Senior Lieutenant Truong Nguyen Cong Tinh, Captain of Company 2 (Battalion 1, Regiment 1).

Major Le Quang Thuong guides soldiers on how to use the "Equipment to support checking and calibrating the firing angle ruler for 60mm, 82mm, and 100mm mortars". |
According to Senior Lieutenant Truong Nguyen Cong Tinh, in the past, during training, platoon and company officers could only check the aiming results of B41 anti-tank gunners through fixed aiming lines. When soldiers aimed directly, they would be influenced by psychological factors, terrain conditions, weather, qualifications, timing skills, shot completion, etc., making it very difficult to check, comment on, and evaluate the results. Therefore, the test and practice shooting results of soldiers were often unstable, and in some cases, they did not destroy all targets, affecting the overall performance of the entire unit. With the "Equipment for checking the aiming lines of B41 gun optical sights during the day and at night", the above situation was basically overcome.
When connecting the sighting inspection device with the optical sight, through the two-angle prism, whether day or night, the training officer can still check, monitor, and accurately evaluate the soldiers' aiming; from there, provide specific and accurate coaching, assistance, and guidance solutions for each soldier, helping them to progress and mature after each training session.
