Hanoi Party Committee opens training course for officials of Vientiane Capital, Laos

Speaking at the opening of the class, Standing Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee Nguyen Thi Tuyen said that over the past time, imbued with and promoting the brotherhood and comradeship between the two Parties, two countries, and two peoples of Vietnam and Laos, the Party Committee, government and people of the two capitals of Hanoi and Vientiane have always respected the tradition of friendship, made constant efforts to develop comprehensive bilateral cooperation in all fields.

During the recent two-day visit and working session in Laos on March 11 and 12 by the Hanoi City High-ranking Delegation, the two sides signed 8 cooperation memoranda and effectively implemented them, contributing to promoting increasingly comprehensive Hanoi - Vientiane cooperation in politics , economy, culture and society.

Regarding training support, this is the first time the Hanoi Party Committee has opened training classes for officials of the capital Vientiane, Laos. Accordingly, on April 9, 2024, the Standing Committee of the Hanoi Party Committee issued Plan No. 230-KH/TU and decisions to organize 2 training and fostering classes for officials of the capital Vientiane (including 62 comrades: 55 students, 7 class managers). Of which, the first class is for students of the Party and mass organizations and the second class is for students of the government. The course opening today is the first class.

Standing Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee Nguyen Thi Tuyen said that the purpose of the training course is to help officials of the capital Vientiane increase their research and learn about experiences in building a clean and strong Party and political system; update and supplement new knowledge, leadership and management skills.

“We hope that through the training course, the special friendship and solidarity between the two capitals will be brought into the spirit of the class to promote and exchange, helping the class to be successful. Strengthen mutual understanding, exchange and learn from each other, increase attachment and affection; contribute to improving the quality of the staff of the capital Vientiane to meet the development requirements. At the same time, consolidate the good friendship between the two capitals in the new situation”, emphasized Standing Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee Nguyen Thi Tuyen.

In order for the training course to achieve good results, Standing Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee Nguyen Thi Tuyen requested relevant agencies of Hanoi and Vientiane to continue to closely coordinate in the management and organization of the class. In particular, the training program must be well implemented to ensure the goals and requirements. During the course of study, the trainees, reporters and lecturers will increase communication and exchange to clarify issues of concern, creating a comfortable atmosphere, full of solidarity and friendship.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Head of the Party Inspection Committee and Government Inspectorate of Vientiane Capital Virasack Nammountry - Head of the delegation of Vientiane Capital officials studying in Hanoi highly appreciated the leadership, especially the work of building the team of party members of Hanoi city.

Representatives of the delegation of officials from Vientiane Capital studying in Hanoi believe that through the course, the delegation members will gain a lot of knowledge and experience to be able to apply in practical work.

On the basis of the friendly relationship between Laos and Vietnam in general and the two capitals of Vientiane and Hanoi in particular, he hoped that the two cities would continue to strengthen their close relationship, contributing to further tightening the great friendship, special solidarity and comprehensive cooperation between the two peoples of Laos and Vietnam in general and between Vientiane and Hanoi in particular.

There are 31 students (27 students, 4 class managers) participating in the training course on Party and mass organization work for officials in Vientiane Capital, Laos. These are key officials of Vientiane Capital. During the 12 days of study in Hanoi, the students will study, share, and exchange useful knowledge, skills, and experiences in building a clean and strong Party and political system.

Immediately after the opening ceremony, Standing Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee Nguyen Thi Tuyen directly discussed the topic "Party building and rectification work and building the political system; continuing to innovate the Party's leadership methods associated with the responsibility of the leader and regulations on setting an example for cadres and Party members".

Students listened to and discussed 10 specialized lectures in class (5 lectures on practical experiences of Hanoi city and 5 lectures on leadership and management skills).
According to the curriculum, in the morning students will study in class; in the afternoon they will go on research and field trips to 8 localities and units of the city.
These are all localities and units with effective models, new, creative, outstanding and typical ways of doing things in Hanoi. At the same time, the students will have 2 days to visit and conduct field surveys in Quang Ninh province.
