Ta Xua grassland (Son La), about 250km from Hanoi , is known as "paradise on earth" with majestic, wild natural scenery and cool climate. The check-in photos here are compared by netizens to be as beautiful as miniature Switzerland.
In recent days, a series of check-in photos of the green, peaceful grassland with undulating mountains in the distance and white clouds floating in the sky have been posted. Ta Xua (Bac Yen, Son La ) is shared by many people on social networks.
Although it is not peak tourist season, Ta Xua is still loved by young tourists who come to escape the hot and humid weather and admire the lush green grasslands.
According to Mr. Diep Huu Dat (25 years old), a young person working in tourism in Son La, the "feverish" grassland recently is located in Ban Tro A, Ta Xua commune, about 12km from the commune center. "Currently, the road leading to this grassland is quite beautiful and convenient to travel. However, the road is a bit steep, so if you are a weak driver, tourists should hire a local motorbike taxi."
Ta Xua is a highland commune, with an average altitude of 1,500 - 2,000m above sea level. In July, the weather in the steppe is often sunny, clear, green grass, and a sea of clouds in the early morning. "The daytime temperature is from 20 - 25 degrees Celsius, so it is cool and pleasant. At night or early morning, the weather will be cold," said Mr. Dat.
Ta Xua grassland is located on the same route to Dolphin Point and Lonely Tree - two famous check-in spots. Near Dolphin Point, visitors will see signs leading to Ta Xua grassland. This is a large area, not only a place to admire the natural beauty but also an ideal place for entertainment, sports and camping.
Tourist Ta Thi Thuy (24 years old, living and working in Hanoi) just had a trip to experience the "healing" summer in Ta Xua. Thuy said that in 2020, she first came to Ta Xua on a tour, in the winter. At the end of 2022, Thuy returned here and spent a year working in Ta Xua.
"I have been to many places across Vietnam, but for me, Ta Xua is still the best healing destination because of its cool, fresh climate. There are days when I wake up and look out to see a sea of clouds surrounding the mountains, as beautiful as a fairyland.
Even in the summer, at night, visitors still have to wear warm clothes and burn firewood to warm themselves. This season, there are not too many visitors, so service prices are reduced, and destinations are quieter and more peaceful. Tran Van Anh (student, living in Hanoi) shared that Ta Xua has its own beauty in each season. However, if tourists go in winter, the weather is very cold, with a lot of fog, making it more difficult to move. In summer, the mornings and nights are still cold and windy, but during the day the sky is clear and sunny.
"Ta Xua is an ideal place to heal and escape the summer heat for tourists with modest financial resources like me," said Van Anh.
From Hanoi, visitors can travel to Ta Xua by limousine with a ticket price of 600,000 VND/person/round trip. Choosing this means of transport, visitors will save more time because they do not need to change shuttle buses. When arriving in Ta Xua, visitors can rent a motorbike for 150,000 - 200,000 VND/day to conveniently travel to different locations.
Currently, Ta Xua has many cafes with beautiful views, loved by young people. With natural destinations, in addition to the grasslands, visitors can visit Xim Vang terraced fields, coffee villages, Dinosaur waterfall in Hang Dong commune, lonely tree, dolphin cape...
Thuy said that this season, when coming to Ta Xua, tourists can experience more activities such as bathing in streams and SUP rowing.
Tourists should note that food services in Ta Xua are not very developed. Special dishes that tourists can enjoy are roast duck, stir-fried buffalo with bamboo shoots, black chicken hotpot, sturgeon hotpot, fish salad, etc. In addition, before departure, tourists should carefully research weather information.
