At nearly 11pm on June 12, while on patrol duty in the public area on the 2nd floor of Terminal T2 at Noi Bai Airport, Ms. Nguyen Thi Tam - an employee of the trolley team at Noi Bai International Airport - discovered a small black package on a trolley, at number 2 on the 3rd floor, in the public area of the terminal.

Ms. Tam immediately reported to the nearest aviation security force. Through visual inspection at the duty room, the package contained 100 bills of 50,000 won (Korean currency), totaling 5 million won - equivalent to nearly 100 million Vietnamese Dong.
At the same time, Ms. Kim Hyuna (a Korean passenger) was checking in and was shocked to discover that the money bag was no longer in her bag.
She ran around the area to search. Guided by the security force, she quickly went to the security office to meet Mr. Nguyen Dinh Hoang - the mobile security officer on duty - and Ms. Tam, the person who helped her discover the forgotten money bag. Here, she was handed over the money according to the correct procedure.
Receiving the 5 million won back intact, Ms. Kim Hyuna emotionally thanked the airport staff and quickly returned to the check-in counter to catch her flight to Korea that night.
Noi Bai International Airport said that Ms. Nguyen Thi Tam has been a trolley staff at Noi Bai Airport since 2003. She has picked up belongings left behind by passengers many times, but this is one of the few times she has received such a large amount of money.
"A large amount of money was lying on a cart in a hidden corner. If I were the one who lost it, I would be so scared. I'm glad the money was returned to its rightful owner," Ms. Tam shared.
