VIRESA affirmed that this is a positive signal, demonstrating the maturity and bravery of the athletes, and at the same time showing that Vietnamese e- sports is capable of reaching out to the world. According to VIRESA, winning a ticket to the EWC is already a challenge, because the clubs must be the leading representatives in the country as well as the region. Impressive achievements such as the runner-up position in the Truth Arena or the two Vietnamese clubs participating in PUBG reaching the finals further strengthen the belief that Vietnamese e-sports can absolutely dream of higher rankings in international tournaments.

Notably, many sports within the EWC framework will also be present at the 33rd SEA Games, Asian Youth Games 2025 and ASIAD 2026, where athletes participating in this tournament are also the core force of the national team in sports such as League of Legends, VALORANT, Mobile Legends: Bang Bang, Crossfire... According to VIRESA representative, EWC is a valuable opportunity for Vietnamese eSports to both test themselves and gain experience, while also evaluating their strength and researching potential opponents.

“Vietnamese e-sports is accompanying and integrating with the flow of global e-sports, thereby opening up opportunities to increase strength, attract investment to make a breakthrough in the period of 2025-2030; bringing us closer to the vision of Vietnam as an ideal destination for world e-sports. E-sports will become a cultural bridge between Vietnam and the world, contributing positively to Vietnam's digital economic growth in the new era,” said Ms. Cao Thu Phuong, General Secretary of VIRESA.

VIRESA's upcoming goal is to turn e-sports into a cultural bridge, contributing to digital economic growth, and creating Vietnam as an ideal destination for this industry in the period 2025-2030.
