Recently, the online community has continued to buzz about bird's nest products sold through livestreams (online sales) by famous TikTokers such as Pham Thoai, Le Anh Nuoi, Doctor Cung... Previously, a famous couple on the TikTok platform with the account Quyen Leo Daily was also caught up in a scandal advertising bird's nest for only over 13,000 VND/bottle containing up to 35% bird's nest.
Recently, authorities discovered that more than 23,000 jars of processed bird's nests produced by Tuan Duong & TKT Bird's Nest Company Limited in Phu Tho showed signs of substandard quality compared to the self-declared product. Therefore, many videos advertising cheap bird's nests for only over 10,000 VND/jar by many TikTokers suddenly became the center of attention on social networks.
Ready-to-eat bird's nest costs just over 10,000 VND/bottle
Accordingly, in many livestream sessions in 2024, TikTokers with millions of followers such as Pham Thoai, Le Anh Nuoi, Doctor Cung... participated in advertising and attaching marketing links (affiliate) for ready-to-eat bird's nest products under the brand name Do Thi Toan Bird's Nest.
These TikTokers often emphasize that the 70ml product contains 39-60% fresh bird's nest. However, the selling price of each bottle is only over 10,000 VND. For example, in a livestream session in October 2024, TikToker Pham Thoai introduced a combo of 68 bottles of bird's nest containing 39% fresh bird's nest for 699,000 VND, equivalent to only nearly 11,000 VND/bottle.
The TikToker also posted a video of going to a factory in Binh Duong to film a product advertisement video and said that this brand is in the Top 10 prestigious and quality national brands granted by the Asian Economic Research Institute...
Not only Pham Thoai, TikToker Le Anh Nuoi also had many livestream sessions selling Do Thi Toan's ready-made bird's nest at prices ranging from 17,000-22,000 VND/bottle. He confirmed that each bottle contains 6 grams of refined, sterilized fresh bird's nest. Children from one year old and up, pregnant women, diabetics, and the elderly can all use it.

TikTokers with millions of followers such as Long Chun and Tun Pham were recently named amid the Do Thi Toan bird's nest scandal when they sold this product in several livestreams in 2024.
With a super cheap price of just over 10,000 VND/bottle, many consumers expressed doubts about the quality of the bird's nest product. Accordingly, the owner of a TikTok account commented that a bottle of bird's nest containing 5-6 grams of bird's nest could hardly be sold at such a cheap price.
"Because one gram of the cheapest raw bird's nest with feathers costs 1.5 million VND. Buying that type to cook costs 75,000 VND/jar containing 5 grams of bird's nest, not including the company's operating costs, packaging costs, advertising costs...", this person said.
Ms. Nguyen Thuy (District 8, Ho Chi Minh City) shared that she once bought a few jars of cheap bird's nest to try. According to her, the product has a rather strong scent, a thin texture and it is difficult to recognize the bird's nest fibers inside.
As of June 12, the stores of TikTokers and this brand no longer display the ready-made bird's nest product. Some videos advertising this product on TikTok channels of TikTokers are also inaccessible.
In response to many opinions, some TikTokers and representatives of bird's nest brands have spoken out. On the TikTok account Le Anh Nuoi, which has 1.8 million followers, posted a video on June 10 announcing that he was collecting evidence and specific documents to make the most transparent correction. However, by June 12, the announcement video had been removed from this account.

As for Doctor Cung, he also posted a video on his TikTok account Tran Duc Cung affirming that the bird's nest product Do Thi Toan advertised in 2024 had full documentation and had its raw materials thoroughly checked. He also affirmed that he had personally visited the factory to verify the production process.
The last time he introduced the product was August 15, 2024, after which he stopped cooperating. After the recent controversy, he asked the brand directly and received the answer that the product is still in accordance with the legal declaration.
He said that as of June 10, there had been no official information from the authorities about the product’s quality, so it was impossible to conclude whether the product was real or fake. However, as of June 12, the video was no longer available on his TikTok channel.
TikToker Pham Thoai has yet to respond. He stopped livestreaming to sell products since the end of February after a controversy related to calling for charity support.
Which company produces?
Amidst many controversies, on the evening of June 11, the representative of the Do Thi Toan bird's nest brand also posted 2 videos announcing corrections on the TikTok channel with more than 330,000 followers. Accordingly, in the video, an individual introduced himself as Thao - representative of Viet Cuong Nhan Trading - Service Company Limited - the owner of the Do Thi Toan bird's nest brand.
In the video, this person announced the product testing results and confirmed that all of these parameters were correct as announced by the company. The company representative also said that in the near future, the brand will change the packaging, from the percentage of bird's nest to the specific bird's nest content by weight to avoid misunderstandings for customers. The product quality remains unchanged.
However, by the afternoon of June 12, the two videos were no longer displayed on the Do Thi Toan Bird's Nest TikTok channel. The company's official website also no longer displayed the ready-made bird's nest product.
According to research, Viet Cuong Nhan Trading - Service Company Limited has its head office in Di An City, Binh Duong . The company was established in June 2009 by Ms. Do Thi Toan (born in 1984) as Chairwoman of the Board of Directors and Director, Legal Representative of the company. The main business lines are airline ticket, car ticket, train ticket, and import-export entrustment services.

As of August 2020, the company had a charter capital of 1.5 billion VND. Of which, Ms. Toan contributed 600 million VND, equivalent to 40% of the capital; Mr. Do Van Kien and Mr. Pham Quoc Viet each contributed 450 million VND, equivalent to the remaining 60% of the capital.
By January 2024, the company increased its capital to VND8.6 billion. Of which, Ms. Toan contributed VND4.945 billion, equivalent to 57.5% of the capital; Mr. Pham Quoc Viet contributed VND2.58 billion, equivalent to 30% of the capital and Ms. Pham Thi Thu Thao contributed VND1.075 billion, equivalent to the remaining 12.5% of the capital.
After 10 months, the position of Director and Legal Representative was transferred to Mr. Viet. At the same time, the company announced an increase in capital to 20 billion VND. The capital contribution ratio remains the same.
