Monitor and rectify the shortage of construction stone

According to reports from construction project investors in Da Nang city, the current price of construction stone purchased by contractors is higher than the announced price (price provided by the mining unit), at the same time, some cases reflect the scarcity of this material, some cases the mining units do not sell directly to construction contractors but through intermediaries.

In order to have a basis for synthesizing reports to resolve difficulties regarding the scarcity of stone, inappropriate selling prices (if any), as well as proposing solutions to resolve difficulties corresponding to each case, the Department of Construction requests units exploiting and supplying construction stone materials to report related contents.

Specifically, report licensing and exploitation information according to the attached form posted on the Department of Construction's homepage; report on the situation of selling materials to construction contractors, specifically units selling directly to contractors for projects in Da Nang city or through intermediaries, clearly stating the reasons for each case.

Request units to review and ensure that the proposed announced price is consistent with the market price and the direct selling price to the buyer. Request to review the announced price in case of going through an intermediary unit and the appropriateness of the participation of this intermediary unit according to the provisions of law. Proactively review and report cases where the selling price to the contractor is higher than the price in the announced price.

The Department of Construction requests that construction material suppliers seriously fulfill the obligations of organizations and individuals trading in goods and services as prescribed in Article 9 of the Price Law No. 16/2023/QH15 dated June 19, 2023.

Specifically, prepare a price plan or a detailed assessment report on the factors forming the price of goods and services or promptly, accurately and fully provide relevant data and documents as required by competent state agencies to serve the purpose of pricing or implementing and applying other price management and regulation measures as prescribed by this Law. According to the Department of Construction, units must report related contents before June 12, 2025. The Department of Construction continues to monitor and coordinate with relevant authorities, reporting to competent authorities to strictly handle each case of intentionally pushing up market prices, announced prices not matching actual selling prices, inappropriate business activities, etc. affecting the construction progress of construction projects.
