Green tourism with typical services and natural regeneration will be the main direction. Through activities of experiencing and exploring nature and community culture, it not only contributes to enriching the tour program but also helps people and tourists better understand the concept of green tourism and sustainable development, thereby also helping to raise awareness of tourists when visiting Cu Lao Cham.

Cu Lao Cham is the first locality in the country to build and successfully implement the model of "saying no to nylon bags" since 2009. It is also the first locality in the country to commit to saying no to plastic straws from 2021, persistently pursuing the journey towards "Zero Waste" - A life without waste. In order to overcome and gradually eliminate harmful habits to the environment, the Management Board of Cu Lao Cham Marine Reserve has developed a communication plan "Reducing the use of nylon bags and plastic waste", mobilizing businesses, souvenir shops, people, and tourists not to use nylon bags and single-use plastic products in the World Biosphere Reserve. People and the island commune government jointly signed a commitment not to use plastic straws and single-use plastic cups, aiming for a Marine Reserve without plastic waste.

“The survey program hopes that travel agencies will directly see the values of the reserve, thereby spreading the message of sustainable development to visitors through future experience and accommodation programs,” Mr. Le Ngoc Thao shared.
