On the afternoon of July 24th, in Phu Quoc Special Economic Zone (An Giang province), the Command of Coast Guard Region 4 held a ceremony to launch the emulation movement "Coast Guard Emulation in Innovation and Digital Transformation" and "Digital Literacy for the People". Major General Nguyen Van Dung, Secretary of the Party Committee, Political Commissar, and Chairman of the Emulation and Commendation Council of the Command of Coast Guard Region 4, presided over the ceremony.

Major General Nguyen Van Dung, Secretary of the Party Committee, Political Commissar, and Chairman of the Emulation and Commendation Council of the Regional Command, launched the emulation movement.
The launching ceremony aims to promote the patriotic traditions of the heroic Vietnamese Army and Coast Guard , and the unit itself; to strengthen the leadership of Party committees and commanders at all levels; and to encourage the active participation of organizations, forces, and all officers and soldiers within the Regional Command in the development of science , technology, innovation, and digital transformation; contributing to the nation's strong development in the new era – an era of prosperity and strength. It also aims to strongly inspire aspirations and create the most favorable conditions for the development of science, technology, innovation, and digital transformation in all agencies and units within the Regional Command.
Major General Nguyen Van Dung, Secretary of the Party Committee, Political Commissar, and Chairman of the Emulation and Commendation Council of the Regional Command, stated that in the context of digital transformation as an inevitable trend, this emulation movement not only contributes to improving the quality of professional work, management, and command, but also awakens the spirit of creativity and innovation in each officer and soldier; it is the shortest path to modernizing means and technical equipment, mastering weapons and equipment, improving the efficiency of unit management, data management, and accelerating administrative procedures. The "Digital Literacy Movement" will be a bridge to help officers and soldiers access technology more effectively, improving their level of information technology application in work and life.

The Command of Coast Guard Region 4 has identified key areas for focus in emulation campaigns to strengthen education and propaganda efforts, creating a strong shift in awareness and responsibility among officers and soldiers; ensuring digital infrastructure and building a solid foundation for digital transformation; promoting digital transformation, applying science and technology, and fostering innovation in task performance; inspiring a spirit of self-learning and promoting emulation movements, with the motto "Those who know teach those who don't, those with more knowledge teach those with less knowledge about digital transformation"; and organizing "Digital Practice Hours" and "Digital Skills Festivals"...
The movements "Coast Guard Emulation in Innovation and Digital Transformation" and "Digital Literacy for the People" are expected to create a clear shift in awareness and action throughout the Region. These movements are not only a political task but also a practical imperative, a crucial factor in building a revolutionary, professional, elite, and modern Coast Guard Region 4 Command, successfully fulfilling its assigned tasks in the new situation.
