Compete to make breakthrough development in shrimp, crab and rice industries

The Department of Agriculture and Environment has just had a plan to compete to develop a breakthrough in the shrimp, crab, and rice industries to contribute to the growth of Region I by 2025.

Promote propaganda and guide people to implement shrimp, crab and rice production models to achieve efficiency and high productivity.

The emulation content focuses on direction and management; propaganda and guidance work; production development results of shrimp, crab and rice industries meeting and exceeding targets assigned by the Provincial People's Committee to localities; forming effective cooperatives and cooperatives, linking and consuming products; Commune-level People's Committees reporting results, proposing models, solutions and good practices for replication.

The subjects of the competition include: Specialized and professional departments, units under the Department of Agriculture and Environment; People's Committees of communes and wards in the province. The competition period is from August 11 to the end of 2025.

The emulation movement is aimed at concretizing the goal of developing key products such as shrimp, crab, and rice in the direction of sustainable, high-value, and environmentally friendly agricultural development. In addition, organizing a widespread emulation movement to mobilize the entire industry and the entire society to make efforts to make breakthroughs in Region I (fishery - agriculture - forestry), contributing to the completion of the target of GRDP growth of 8% in 2025 of Ca Mau province; at the same time, arousing the spirit of innovation in management, production organization, and conversion of farming models in accordance with climate change, market demand, and international commitments.
