The fee payment process will be divided into groups of provinces and cities to avoid local congestion in the payment system.

Accordingly, candidates in Dong Nai province who have registered for university admission in 2025 will pay the online admission fee for 2025 from 0:00 on August 3 to 17:00 on August 4. This is the time frame for paying the online admission fee prescribed by the Ministry of Education and Training for candidates in Ho Chi Minh City, Dong Nai, and Tay Ninh (according to the new administrative boundaries).

Candidates must pay the admission fee according to the number of wishes registered on the general admission management system of the Ministry of Education and Training. On the morning of July 29, the Ministry of Education and Training adjusted the university admission fee from 20,000 VND to 15,000 VND/wish.

According to the Ministry of Education and Training, by the time the university admission registration portal closed, the system had received more than 7.6 million applications. The number of candidates registering for university admission in 2025 increased by nearly 116,000 compared to 2024. More than 310,000/1.16 million candidates taking the 2025 High School Graduation Exam did not register for university admission.

From August 16 to 20, the Ministry of Education and Training will process admission applications (virtual filtering). It is expected that from August 20, universities will announce the first round of benchmark scores, with the deadline before 5:00 p.m. on August 22.
