Episode 15 is a competition between two teams from Binh Thinh Secondary School (Duc Thinh commune) and Phuc Trach Secondary School (Phuc Trach commune).
Binh Thinh Secondary School team consists of 3 members: Huong Chi, Tuyet Nhi and Khac Nhat. Meanwhile, Phuc Trach Secondary School team has the participation of Tran Xuan Cuong, Nguyen Bao Nguyen and Nguyen Ngoc Thach.
Right in the team introduction, the contestants impressed when they brought to the stage of S2 studio - Ha Tinh Newspaper local specialties such as Khong village's gai cake, Nang Rung areca chopsticks, and Phuc Trach grapefruit flowers, making the MC, judges and audience extremely excited.
In the first round - "Quick Eyes", the two teams demonstrated their quick reflexes and rich English vocabulary when they answered 9/10 questions. However, Binh Thinh team took the lead with 7 correct answers, earning 35 points. Phuc Trach team only scored 10 points with 2 correct answers.
In the second round - "Quick Mind", the contestants took on the challenge of presenting in English around the topic: "Protecting the environment - Small actions, big impacts". This was an opportunity for them to demonstrate their courage, English speaking ability and awareness of global issues.
Huong Chi, representative of Binh Thinh Secondary School, gave an impressive presentation on the topic “Plastic Pollution: Hidden Dangers Around Us”. The presentation focused on the prevalence of plastic products, their consequences on the environment, and proposed practical solutions to reduce plastic waste. Along with excellent answers to the supplementary questions, Binh Thinh team won a full 30 points, bringing the total score to 65.
Equally convincing, Nguyen Ngoc Thach from Phuc Trach Secondary School delivered a presentation on the topic “Saving energy and natural resources: Every action counts!”. He emphasized the negative impacts of climate change and environmental pollution and called on everyone to take action to protect natural resources. His performance helped the team gain 27 points, bringing the total score to 37.
After the audience competition, the two teams entered the final round - "Quick Hands". This is a challenge to open each part of a picture and answer related questions. Binh Thinh team scored 20 more points with 2 correct answers, while Phuc Trach team answered 1 question correctly, earning 10 more points.
In the final keyword question: "Which Vietnamese dynasty is credited with creating the earliest form of ao dai?", both teams failed to give the correct answer, "Nguyen Dynasty".
In the end, Binh Thinh Secondary School team excellently won with a total score of 85, thereby officially registering their name in the quarter-finals.
