Thien Nam (TNA) was fined by the State Securities Commission for not disclosing important financial information.

Recently, the State Securities Commission (SSC) has fined Thien Nam Import-Export JSC (Code: TNA) for not disclosing financial information in accordance with legal regulations.

Specifically, Thien Nam was fined VND92.5 million for not disclosing information about the 2023 Audited Financial Report on the information disclosure system of the State Securities Commission and the electronic information page of the Ho Chi Minh City Stock Exchange.

In addition, some information was published by Thien Nam but not within the prescribed time limit on the system of the State Securities Commission and the website of the Ho Chi Minh City Stock Exchange. Including: Decision of the Board of Directors No. 02/2023/QD-HDQT dated February 8, 2023 on changing the legal representative of the Company; changing the business registration content in the 26th amended Business Registration Certificate dated February 16, 2023.

Thien Nam was also fined an additional VND60 million for failing to fully disclose information as required by law. The document not fully disclosed was the 2023 corporate governance report. The total fine was VND152.5 million.

Not only was Thien Nam fined for not disclosing important financial information, TNA shares were also put on restricted trading (only allowed to trade in the afternoon session) due to late submission of the 2023 Audit Report by more than 45 days compared to regulations.

Regarding business activities, in the second quarter of 2024, Thien Nam recorded revenue of VND 546.3 billion, down 65.4% over the same period. The company had a loss after tax of VND 18.1 billion, a sharp decrease compared to the profit of VND 2.5 billion in the same period.
