On June 11, THILOGI successfully registered and was approved to join the US government's Federal Maritime Commission (FMC).
FMC (Federal Maritime Commission) was established in 1961 in Washington (USA), specializing in handling general regulations on international commercial transportation. Joining FMC, THILOGI became an intermediary carrier for the Vietnam - US trade route and vice versa. Accordingly, THILOGI can issue House Bill of Lading - HBL (House Bill of Lading) to the US and directly sign contracts with shipping lines under the control of the Commission on transportation costs.
FMC only accepts foreign Non-Vessel Operating Common Carriers (NVOCCs) to register when they can prove a financial guarantee of up to 150,000 USD and many other conditions. Therefore, currently, there are less than 160 businesses successfully registering for FMC, a very small number compared to thousands of transportation businesses in Vietnam. Joining FMC is an affirmation of THILOGI's brand reputation, freight service provision capacity and financial potential.
To date, FMC is the third prestigious international organization in the logistics field that THILOGI has participated in. Previously, THILOGI became a member of the International Federation of Freight Forwarders Associations (FIATA), the World Cargo Alliance (WCA) and the Vietnam Logistics Association (VLA).
