Tho Xuan speeds up site clearance to implement key projects

Implementing Plan No. 02, dated January 2, 2025 of the Provincial People's Committee Chairman on site clearance to implement investment projects using land in Thanh Hoa province in 2025; the plan of the District Party Committee Executive Committee on implementing a breakthrough in site clearance for key projects in the district in the period of 2021-2025, Tho Xuan district has issued plans for implementation, specifically: Plan No. 17/KH-UBND dated January 15, 2025 on site clearance to implement investment projects using land in the district in 2025; Plan No. 35/KH-UBND dated February 19, 2025 on implementing a 30-day peak period of site clearance for projects using land in Tho Xuan district. In particular, the district organized the signing of commitments between the Secretary of the District Party Committee, Head of the District Steering Committee with the Party Committee Secretary, Head of the Land Acquisition and Compensation Board of communes and towns; signed commitments to implement land acquisition and compensation between the Chairman of the District People's Committee and the Chairmen of the People's Committees of communes and towns, and investors in the area. At the same time, directed departments, branches, People's Committees of communes and towns, and the District Land Acquisition and Compensation Council to complete the procedural documents as a basis for implementing land acquisition and compensation work... From the determination in leadership, direction and implementation, in the first quarter of 2025, Tho Xuan district accelerated the progress of land acquisition and compensation for investment projects using land and key projects and achieved positive results.

According to the plan of the Provincial People's Committee Chairman, in 2025, there will be 38 projects in the district, with a total area requiring land clearance of 82.39 hectares. As a result, by April 15, 2025, the district has implemented land acquisition steps for 22/38 projects, with a total area requiring land clearance as planned of 49.17 hectares. Of which, 82.3 hectares have been planned, measured, and inventoried; 70.5 hectares have been approved for compensation; 33.36 hectares/82.39 hectares have been completed, reaching 42.9% of the plan.

Regarding the implementation of Plan No. 17/KH-UBND of the District People's Committee, there are 45 projects in the district requiring land acquisition with a total area of ​​191.59 hectares. As a result, land acquisition steps have been and are being implemented for 25/45 projects, with a total area requiring land acquisition of 75.34 hectares; of which, 91.63 hectares have been planned, measured, and inventoried; 82.63 hectares have been planned for compensation; 38.87 hectares have been completed, reaching 17.94% of the plan.

Regarding the implementation of land acquisition for key projects, in 2025, according to statistics, 18 key projects will be implemented in the district, with an area requiring land acquisition of 154.28 hectares. As a result, by March 31, 2025, land acquisition steps have been implemented for 10/18 projects, with a total area requiring land acquisition for key projects of 41.53 hectares, of which 54.5 hectares have been planned, measured, and inventoried; 50.98 hectares have been planned for compensation; and 14.68 hectares have been completed for land acquisition.

To continue to complete the goals and plans set out in 2025, Tho Xuan District Party Secretary Le Dinh Hai requested localities and units to continue to monitor, urge, and promptly resolve difficulties and problems within their authority. On the part of the District Construction Investment Management Board, departments, branches, and the District People's Committee, according to the assigned tasks in the plan, urgently advise on inventory procedures, pricing, and publicizing compensation plans for land acquisition and clearance. At the same time, he emphasized that any unit that fails to fulfill the committed land acquisition and clearance targets will be strictly handled according to regulations. The authorities need to strengthen inspection, examination, and supervision of land management and use, and promptly prevent violations.
