The latest time to quit your job to enjoy policies and benefits is September 1st.

The Ministry of Home Affairs has just sent a document to ministries, departments, branches and localities requesting strict implementation of Conclusion No. 183 of the Politburo and Secretariat on deploying the two-level local government model, strongly shifting the grassroots level to proactively managing socio-economy, national defense and security.

According to the document, the Ministry of Home Affairs requested ministries, departments, branches and localities to focus on reviewing and screening subjects affected by the organizational arrangement, making a list and issuing decisions on resignation for cadres, civil servants, public employees, workers and armed forces under their management authority according to Decree 178/2024 on policies and regimes for cadres, civil servants, public employees, workers and armed forces in implementing the organizational arrangement of the political system (amended and supplemented in Decree 67/2025) before August 31.

The latest time to quit your job to enjoy the policy and benefits is September 1. After this time, the policy ends.

The Ministry of Home Affairs informed that cases in which competent authorities have issued decisions (decisions on early retirement, decisions on resignation) before August 1 to determine the subjects who have retired according to the roadmap until December 31 will continue to enjoy policies and regimes according to regulations.

The Ministry of Home Affairs requests ministries, departments, branches and localities to promptly arrange funds and thoroughly resolve the payment of policies and regimes for beneficiaries, ensuring completion before August 31. In case of difficulties or problems related to funding sources, the Ministry of Home Affairs requests consultation with the Ministry of Finance for guidance or reporting to competent authorities.
