Over the years, Hanoi volleyball has built a widespread movement foundation, being the training and competition place of 8 professional volleyball teams (4 men, 4 women). In particular, Hanoi's volleyball movement is leading the country.

In terms of high achievements, Hanoi volleyball has made its mark such as the men's bronze medal at the 2022 national championship and the promotion of the women's team in 2024.

The men's youth team also just won the silver medal at the 2025 National Youth Championship. Every year, Hanoi volleyball has athletes called up to the national team.

However, these achievements do not fully reflect the potential of volleyball in the capital: youth training is not systematic nor is there a close connection between schools, clubs and national teams; facilities do not meet the needs; financial resources are heavily dependent on the budget, while socialization is not effective.

Therefore, the establishment of the Hanoi Volleyball Federation is expected to professionalize management, synchronize the training system and exploit and develop the great potential of Hanoi volleyball from grassroots to the top.

Accordingly, the Congress elected the Executive Committee of the first term consisting of 15 people, the Standing Committee of 5 people. Ms. Tran Thuy Chi - Chairwoman of the Board of Directors of Vietcontent Company was elected as Chairwoman; Mr. Nguyen Viet Hoa - Director of the Center for Physical Education and Sports, Hanoi National University was elected as Permanent Vice Chairman; Mr. Bui Dinh Loi - Head of the Hanoi Volleyball Department was elected as Vice Chairman and General Secretary.

At the Congress, new President Tran Thuy Chi shared: "With the honor and responsibility of President of the Hanoi City Volleyball Federation, I pledge to unite, innovate, and promote collective intelligence with the Executive Committee of the first term to fulfill the important tasks entrusted to me by the Congress."

Currently, Ms. Tran Thuy Chi is also holding the role of Vice President of the Vietnam Volleyball Federation. In addition, the Congress also approved 3 important strategic orientations for the 2025-2030 term:

Developing high-performance volleyball: Building a training roadmap for young athletes from the grassroots level to the national team; improving the professional quality of the men's/women's team to be able to compete for high achievements in national and international tournaments, having many elite athletes wear the national team jersey. Strive to have 1 volleyball team win the national volleyball championship in the first term.

Promote grassroots and school volleyball, closely coordinate with the Department of Education and Training and schools to organize student volleyball tournaments, create a more professional competition system for schools; build volleyball clubs in schools, include volleyball in the physical education program...

Promote socialization of resources: Diversify resources through programs connecting the business community; strengthen communication, promote the image of tournaments and teams to attract sponsors and fans, create highly commercial tournaments... to improve facilities and the quality of training for coaches and athletes.
