The Central Highlands and the South will have moderate rain, heavy rain, rainfall of 30-60 mm, locally over 120 mm. At Ly Son, gusts of wind level 7 were recorded; at Huyen Tran station, southwest wind level 6, gusts of level 8–9.

During the day and night of August 16, the sea area from Khanh Hoa to Ho Chi Minh City and the South East Sea (including Truong Sa sea area) will have southwest winds of level 6, gusting to level 7-8, waves 2-3.5 m high, rough seas. The sea area north of the East Sea will have east winds of level 5, sometimes level 6, gusting to level 7-8. The central East Sea area will have winds of level 6, gusting to level 7-8, waves 2-3.5 m high. In addition, many sea areas will have thunderstorms with tornadoes, strong gusts and waves over 3.5 m high.

Experts advise people in areas with heavy rain to be on guard against the risk of flooding, flash floods, and landslides; fishermen and boats operating at sea should pay close attention to forecast bulletins to proactively prevent.
