The Central Highlands and the South have scattered showers and thunderstorms, locally heavy to very heavy rain with rainfall from 15-40mm, some places over 100mm. (rain is concentrated in the afternoon and night).
Thunderstorms may produce tornadoes, lightning, hail and strong gusts of wind. Localized heavy rains may cause flash floods on small rivers and streams, landslides on steep slopes and flooding in low-lying areas.
Regarding the hot weather, on June 18-19, the area from Thanh Hoa to Phu Yen will have hot weather, some places will have severe hot weather with the highest temperature commonly ranging from 35-37 degrees Celsius, some places will have temperatures above 37 degrees Celsius. The lowest relative humidity is commonly at 55-60%.
In the Northern Delta and Hoa Binh regions, there is hot weather with the highest temperature commonly ranging from 35-36 degrees Celsius, with some places above 36 degrees Celsius.
From June 20, the heat in the above areas is likely to gradually ease.
