Weather today October 18: Heavy rain from Ha Tinh to the South, sunny in the North before the cold spell

The National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting said that from yesterday evening, today and until the end of tomorrow, the weather from Ha Tinh to Quang Ngai will have moderate rain, heavy rain and thunderstorms with common rainfall of 70-150mm, in some places very heavy rain over 300mm. Warning of the risk of heavy rain (>80mm/3 hours).

In addition, Nghe An, the area from Gia Lai to Lam Dong and the South today will have scattered showers and thunderstorms with rainfall of 10-30mm, some places will have heavy rain over 60mm (rain is mainly concentrated in the afternoon and evening). Thunderstorms may have tornadoes, lightning, hail and strong gusts of wind.

Northern and Thanh Hoa regions will have sunny days, except for the Northeast region which will have showers tonight.

Currently, the North is experiencing a cold front moving south. This cold front is expected to intensify in the coming days, significantly affecting the weather in the Northern and North Central regions.
