People unanimously prepare for the death anniversary of National Hero Nguyen Trung Truc

From cleaning the grounds, setting up the tent, decorating the space, preparing offerings, every task was carried out urgently, showing the people's respect and spirit of "remembering the source of the water they drink" for the national hero who sacrificed himself for the country.

Although coming from many different provinces and cities, they all shared the same heart towards Vam Nhut Tao. Many groups were present early, contributing to the locality in preparing for the solemn and thoughtful death anniversary ceremony.

From the 7th of the 9th lunar month, people decorate and clean up the historical site of Vam Nhut Tao.

Mr. Nguyen Hoang Gieng (Long Phu Thuan commune, Dong Thap province) said that this year, his group is in charge of rice camp number 4. From the 7th of the 9th lunar month, everyone has been present to prepare for the activities during the main holidays of the 10th, 11th and 12th of the 9th lunar month.

“We cook vegetarian rice, make pancakes, and mix drinks to serve people near and far with all our heart. That is a way to remember the national hero, showing the morality of 'when eating the fruit, remember the person who planted the tree'” – Mr. Gieng shared.

For the past 10 years, Mr. Gieng and the members of the delegation have become “family members” of the Nguyen Trung Truc death anniversary. For them, contributing to the service is not only an honor, but also an act of gratitude and preservation of the nation’s fine traditions.

With the cooperation of the people, the authorities of Nhut Tao commune also urgently completed all preparations. From setting up the tent, arranging the dining area, cleaning the temple grounds to coordinating with sponsors, everything was carried out carefully.

Director of the Nhut Tao Commune Public Service Center Ho Quoc Khanh shared: “The locality has promptly implemented a plan to carefully prepare for this year’s memorial service. Currently, the theater areas serving the people and tourists are basically completed, and the sponsoring groups from An Giang have been present since the 7th to coordinate, ensure accommodation and complete logistics, helping the memorial service take place solemnly and smoothly.”

Each person has a job, together with a common heart towards the death anniversary of National Hero Nguyen Trung Truc - the hero "determined to drive out the invaders", so that the death anniversary is not only a commemorative ceremony, but also an occasion to spread patriotism, unite the community and foster traditional values for today's posterity./.
