Forecast path of typhoon Fengshen
The National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting said that early this morning, the tropical depression in the sea east of the central Philippines has strengthened into a storm, with the international name Fengshen.
At 7am this morning, the eye of the storm was in the sea east of the central Philippines. The strongest wind near the eye of the storm was level 8 (62-74km/h), gusting to level 10. The storm moved west at a speed of about 20km/h.
The storm is forecast to continue to strengthen, and around the morning of October 20, it will enter the East Sea and become storm number 12 of this year's rainy and stormy season.
Due to the influence of the storm, from October 19, the eastern sea area of the North East Sea will have winds gradually increasing to level 6-7, near the storm center will have strong winds of level 8-9, gusting to level 11, waves 2.5-5m high, very rough seas.
Between October 20 and 22, the North East Sea area (including Hoang Sa special zone) is likely to be affected by strong winds of level 10-11, gusting to level 13.
Ships and boats operating in the above mentioned dangerous areas are likely to be affected by storms, whirlwinds, strong winds and large waves.
According to the storm's path forecast by the meteorological agency, this storm will move northwest after entering the East Sea, but then quickly change direction to the south. Therefore, the storm's path is quite zigzag.
The reason for this change is that a cold front is moving down the region at the same time. The cold air shifts the storm's path and weakens it.
However, people should not be subjective when two weather patterns occur at the same time, which can cause other extreme weather conditions to appear. People need to pay close attention to forecasts from authorities./.
