Approaching the Cham village along National Highway 55, one can already see the new, spacious houses with bright red tiled roofs in the distance. Within the village, a grid of concrete roads connects the hamlets, lined with shady green trees whose leaves sway in the breeze, creating a picturesque scene. The first impression is that the Cham village is now green and clean, unlike the muddy roads and buffalo and cow dung of the past. Mr. Thong Phi – the Party Secretary of the Cham village – recounted: “Before, every family was poor, struggling to make ends meet, so no one paid attention to environmental hygiene. Recently, people's lives have improved, children receive a full education and gain knowledge, living standards are higher, and awareness within the Cham community has clearly risen…”

The Cham village has 365 households, mostly engaged in agriculture, but is considered relatively well-off due to its large area of rice paddies producing three crops per year, totaling over 350 hectares. In addition, the village has approximately 40 hectares of rubber trees, 10 hectares of cashew trees, and many other crops grown on hillside fields. Currently, 335 households in the village have a moderately good economic standing , with some wealthy households earning billions of dong annually. The accumulation of farmland among the Cham people has been a tradition for generations, but only when they applied scientific advancements to production, resulting in higher yields and quality products, did their income increase significantly. In Cham village, besides Party branch secretary Thong Phi, who pioneered wealth creation from rubber trees and agricultural product trading, there are many other wealthy households such as the Thong Van Thanh family in group 2, which owns nearly 20 hectares of rubber trees and earns nearly 3 billion VND annually, and Mr. Thong Tan in group 4, who owns nearly 7 hectares of rubber trees and earns over 1 billion VND annually... The lives of the people are becoming increasingly prosperous, and many businesses selling various goods have sprung up in the village. Currently, the village has 7 grocery stores, 3 vegetable shops, 1 agricultural product purchasing facility, and dozens of restaurants and other services to meet the needs of the villagers. Cultural and sports activities in the village are also strongly supported by the people. There is a men's football team that regularly participates in regional tournaments. There is also a performing arts group specializing in traditional Cham songs and dances.

According to Mr. Thong Phi, the current living standards of the Cham people are largely due to the attention of the Party and the State: from investing in building village roads to training in high-quality rice cultivation techniques, rubber tree care and tapping techniques, support with agricultural machinery, and preferential interest rate loans... Through learning and hard work, the people of Cham village have gradually improved and invested in their children's education. Currently, there are 13 people in the village who are government employees, including 2 doctors, 1 medical assistant, 4 teachers, and 6 police officers...

The Cham village is changing day by day towards modernization, but it still preserves the cultural identity of the Cham people. Traditional festivals are held according to proper rituals on important days, fostering unity, mutual support, and assistance in household economic development. From this shared spirit, many people have participated in planting trees and cleaning up the environment, creating a green, clean, and beautiful village...
