The Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Tien Giang province and the family are deeply saddened to announce the news.

Comrade Truong Cong Pho, born on February 15, 1943, originally from Tang Hoa commune, Go Cong Dong district, Tien Giang province. Participated in the November 1960 Revolution. Former Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, former Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, former Vice Chairman of the National Defense and Security Committee of the 10th National Assembly , Colonel, former Director of Tien Giang Provincial Police, 60-year Party membership badge.

In recognition of his contributions to the revolutionary cause, he was awarded by the Party and State:

- 40 years Party membership badge;

- 50 years Party membership badge;

- 55 years Party membership badge;

- 60 years Party membership badge;

- First Class Victory Medal;

- First Class Medal of Resistance War against America for National Salvation;

- First Class Liberation Medal;

- First Class Medal of Military Exploit;

- Second Class Independence Medal;

- First Class Labor Medal;

- Medal for the Young Generation;

- Many Medals, Commemorative Medals, Certificates of Merit from Central and local levels.

After a period of illness, despite the wholehearted care and treatment of doctors at Thong Nhat Hospital, Tien Giang Provincial General Hospital, the Provincial Party Committee's Cadre Health Care and Protection Board and his family, due to a serious illness, he passed away at 3:20 p.m. on April 5, 2024 (February 27, Giap Thin year) ; at the age of 82.

- The coffin will be kept at a private home in Hoa Binh hamlet, Binh Nghi commune, Go Cong Dong district, Tien Giang province.

Comrade Truong Cong Pho

Comrade Truong Cong Pho , born February 15, 1943. Hometown: Tang Hoa Commune, Go Cong Dong District, Tien Giang Province.

Participated in the November 1960 revolution.

Joined the Communist Party of Vietnam on March 30, 1962.

He has experienced the following tasks:

- November 1960 - July 1964: Deputy squad leader, Deputy platoon leader of unit 206, local military force of Go Cong province;

- August 1964 - 1966: Deputy District Team Leader, concurrently Captain of Unit 206

- 1966 - 1968: District Party Committee member, Deputy District Team Leader, and Captain of Unit 206.

- 1968 - April 1969: Member of the Standing Committee of the District Party Committee; Deputy District Team Leader, and Captain of Unit 206.

- May 1969 - January 1971: Deputy Secretary of the District Party Committee, concurrently Captain of Dong District, Go Cong Province;

- February 1971 - November 1971: Secretary of the Dong District Party Committee, concurrently Political Commissar of the Dong District Military Command, Go Cong Province;

- December 1971 - November 1976: Provincial Party Committee member, Head of Personnel Committee II of Go Cong province;

- December 1976 - June 1979: Provincial Party Committee member, Head of Tien Giang Provincial Construction Department;

- July 1979 - August 1985: Provincial Party Committee member, Secretary of Go Cong Dong District Party Committee.

- September 1985 - August 1986: Member of the Provincial Standing Committee, Secretary of Go Cong Dong District Party Committee;

- September 1986 - January 1987: Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, in charge of Tien Giang Provincial Police;

- February 1987 - November 1993: Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Director of Tien Giang Provincial Police (awarded the title of Colonel of the People's Police)

- December 1993 - February 1997: Deputy Secretary, Chairman of Tien Giang Provincial People's Council;

- March 1997 - January 2000: Deputy Chairman of the National Assembly's Defense and Security Committee (standing in the South, in Ho Chi Minh City).
