According to the organizers, there were more than 120 designs submitted by students from 15 universities and colleges nationwide. During the awards ceremony, Ton Duc Thang University students won grand prizes in all three categories of footwear design, accessory design and fashion design.

Contestant Nguyen Thi Thanh Mai, with her design named Water Puppet, was awarded the championship in the accessory design category, and also won the overall championship and became the sole representative of Vietnam to attend the global final awards ceremony held in Taiwan on October 28.

Contestant Pham Le Huynh became the champion of the fashion category with his design Dan Dong. In the footwear category, male student Ly Nhan Huy won 3rd prize with his design Stairform and Nguyen Duc Minh Tam also won 3rd prize in the accessories category.

In addition to the awards for the best contestants in each category, the competition also has a championship award for the design with the most votes. This award was given to contestant Nguyen Thi Van Anh (University of Interdisciplinary Sciences and Arts - Vietnam National University, Hanoi).

Meeting the champion of the footwear category, Pham Thi Ngoc Lien, and the instructor, Mr. Pham Minh Phung (lecturer of the Fashion Technology Department of Ho Chi Minh City College of Industry and Trade), we were also surprised to learn that the Lac Viet - Lac Hong Footsteps shoes were inspired by the Ngoc Lu Bronze Drum of the Dong Son culture, one of the greatest and most sacred cultural symbols of the ancient Vietnamese people during the Van Lang - Au Lac period. "This is evidence of the high level of craftsmanship and aesthetic thinking of the ancient Vietnamese people. I wish to put the image of the Ngoc Lu Bronze Drum on my work to express my gratitude to our ancestors and grandparents," Ngoc Lien said.
