On the morning of May 14, Tan Son Nhat International Airport announced that all domestic flights of Vietnam Airlines will be transferred to Terminal T3 from 4:00 a.m. on May 17.
Previously, Vietnam Airlines had tested some routes such as Ho Chi Minh City - Hanoi and Van Don at Terminal T3 for more than 20 days. After the actual operation period, the airline decided to move all remaining domestic routes to this new terminal.
Meanwhile, VietJet Air, Pacific Airlines, Vasco, Vietravel Airlines, Bamboo Airways and ATR72 flights with flight number VN (route to Con Dao, Ca Mau, Rach Gia) still operate at terminal T1 (old domestic).

Notably, the relocation of operations to Terminal T3 in recent days has caused confusion among passengers. There have been many cases of passengers of Vietnam Airlines and other airlines moving to the wrong terminal.
To avoid going the wrong way, airlines recommend that passengers carefully check the terminal information on their tickets, websites or apps before departure.
In case of mistakenly moving to another terminal, passengers can use the free bus service connecting T1, T2 and T3 (frequency 10-20 minutes/trip), or choose technology cars or taxis with a travel time of about 20 minutes depending on traffic conditions.
Terminal T3 was put into operation on April 19, after more than 20 months of construction. This is one of the key infrastructure projects in Ho Chi Minh City, with a total investment of nearly VND11,000 billion, expected to significantly reduce the load on the existing terminal T1.
