Reclaiming more than 460 hectares of land of Viet Trung Minerals and Metallurgy Company Limited in Lao Cai

According to the above decision, Lao Cai Provincial People's Committee reclaimed 4,603,611.0 m2 of land from Viet Trung Minerals and Metallurgy Company Limited, which was leased by Lao Cai Provincial People's Committee in Decision No. 91/QD-UBND dated January 14, 2022. The land plot in Son Thuy commune, Van Ban district, Lao Cai province was leased to Viet - Trung Minerals and Metallurgy Company Limited for mineral exploitation and processing activities.

The reason for land recovery is due to termination of land use according to the law prescribed in Point c, Clause 1, Article 82 of the 2024 Land Law.

Lao Cai Provincial People's Committee requested the Department of Natural Resources and Environment of this province to be responsible for handing over the recovered land area to Son Thuy commune and Van Ban district for management according to legal regulations.

Van Ban District People's Committee and Son Thuy Commune People's Committee receive the land handover, strictly manage the land and only put this land plot into use according to the plan and planning approved by competent authorities.

Viet-Trung Minerals and Metallurgy Company Limited is responsible for handling assets attached to the land to return the land area recovered by Lao Cai Provincial People's Committee before December 29, 2024.
