Top scorer of Hanoi University of Science and Technology's first round of thinking assessment exam achieved 96.49 points

Hanoi University of Science and Technology has just announced the score distribution of the first round of thinking assessment exam. Of which, the number of candidates registered for the exam was 7,310, the number of candidates taking the exam was 6,967. According to the statistics of the first round exam results, the highest score was 96.49/100, the lowest score was 20.97, the average score was 53.94/100, the median was 53.50/100.

6 candidates scored over 90 points, 38 candidates scored over 80 points. The percentage of candidates scoring over 70 points was about 4.6%, scoring over 60 points was nearly 24% and scoring over 50 points was 65.8%.

Following the first round, Hanoi University of Science and Technology will organize the second round of exams on June 17, 2023 and the third round of exams on July 8, 2023.

The 2023 Thinking Test is held at 9 test clusters: Hanoi (10 universities and academies), Hung Yen, Nam Dinh , Thanh Hoa, Vinh, Hai Phong, Quang Ninh, Thai Nguyen, Da Nang.

Currently, there are 32 universities and colleges that have announced the use of this exam results for admission.

This year's Hanoi University of Science and Technology's thinking assessment test consists of 3 parts: Mathematical Thinking with 40 questions (60 minutes), Reading Comprehension Thinking 20 questions (30 minutes); Scientific Thinking/Problem Solving 40 questions (60 minutes), all in multiple choice format. Candidates take turns doing each part of the test with a total duration of 150 minutes.

Compared to last year, this exam has some adjustments. The exam structure still consists of three parts, but there is no longer a combination of Natural Sciences and English, instead there is a Problem Solving Thinking/Scientific Thinking section. The Mathematics and Reading Comprehension sections are the same as last year. The exam time is also shortened to 150 minutes, 120 minutes less than the old exam. In addition, the exam format is multiple choice, candidates do the test on the computer.

Candidates who take the exam will be granted a certificate of results valid for two years and can apply for admission to universities that recognize this exam score.
