Budget revenue for the first 4 months of 2025 reached 48% of the estimate

Total state budget revenue in April 2025 is estimated at 199.9 trillion VND; cumulative total state budget revenue in the first 4 months of 2025 is estimated at 944.1 trillion VND, equal to 48% of the year's estimate, up 26.3% over the same period last year.

The above information was announced by the General Statistics Office on May 6. Of which, domestic revenue is estimated at VND827.2 trillion, equal to 49.6% of the year's estimate and up 29.5% over the same period last year; revenue from crude oil is estimated at VND17.3 trillion, equal to 32.6% of the year's estimate and down 12%; budget revenue from import-export activities is VND99.1 trillion, equal to 42.2% of the year's estimate and up 11.7%.

According to the General Statistics Office, domestic revenue results were quite good compared to estimates and increased compared to the same period last year, mainly due to the economy performing well in the last months of 2024 and continuing to maintain growth momentum in the first months of 2025.

The timely issuance and focused implementation of fiscal policies, reduction and extension of taxes, fees, charges and land rents from the beginning of the year have contributed to supporting businesses to quickly overcome difficulties, develop production and business, and create revenue for the state budget.

At the same time, tax authorities promote digital transformation, apply information technology in tax management and collection; strengthen collection management, prevent revenue loss, and handle tax arrears.

Total state budget expenditure in April 2025 is estimated at 164.9 trillion VND; accumulated expenditure in the first 4 months of 2025 is estimated at 595.4 trillion VND, equal to 23.4% of the annual estimate and an increase of 15.2% over the same period last year.

Of which, regular expenditure is estimated at 425 trillion VND, equal to 27.1% of the year's estimate and up 16.1%; development investment expenditure is 128.5 trillion VND, equal to 16.3% and up 16.3%; debt interest payment is 40.7 trillion VND, equal to 36.8% and up 2.3%.

State budget expenditures ensure the needs of socio-economic development, national defense, security, state management, payment of due debts as well as timely payment to subjects according to regulations.
