According to the report, since December 2024, the Department of Agriculture and Environment has coordinated with Rynan Technologies Vietnam Joint Stock Company to install 4 systems in the eastern part of the province. Of which, 3 systems are installed on rice plants (in Phu Hoa 2 commune, Hoa Thinh commune, Binh Kien ward) and 1 system on fruit trees (durian) in Ea Ly commune.
The system uses artificial intelligence (AI), high-resolution cameras and sensors to automatically identify, record and analyze insects. Data is continuously transmitted to the control center and mobile application, helping to provide early warning of pests in real time.

After nearly a year of operation (from December 2024 to September 2025), the system has operated stably and has identified more than 20 insect species (including 11-12 harmful species and 6-7 natural enemies). The collected data helps technical staff accurately determine the time of pest outbreaks and issue timely warnings.
Thanks to data-based recommendations (such as the ratio of natural enemies/pests), farmers have reduced the number of sprays, only treating when the pest density exceeds the threshold; production costs have decreased by 0.8 - 1.2 million VND/ha, and the pest situation has also significantly decreased.

Representative of the Central Highlands Institute of Agricultural and Forestry Science and Technology spoke at the conference. |
At the conference, representatives of localities, scientists and businesses discussed and highly appreciated the effectiveness of the model. At the same time, they wished to pilot it in communes with large areas of rice and fruit trees.
The Department of Agriculture and Environment proposed that the Provincial People's Committee continue to maintain the operation of the 4 existing systems, and consider replicating the model in 2026. It is expected to invest in installing about 8 more systems in key communes and wards such as: Thanh Nhat, Dak Lieng, Cu M'gar, Ea Phe, Tuy An Dong, Xuan Phuoc, and Song Hinh.
The goal is to increase coverage, create a synchronous database to serve the work of forecasting, forecasting and promoting digital transformation in agriculture, contributing to building a green, low-emission agriculture according to the province's strategic orientation.
